You and Whose Army?
by Christiane on Nov.12, 2009, under Uncategorized
On topics of vital concern for our nation these days the most difficult part seems to be the end of the conversation. That point where, after thrashing out all of the facts of each crisis, be it health care, the economy, Afghanistan, global warming, or unbridled corporate influence on journalism and politics, we come sadly, maybe even kicking and fighting, to an inevitable conclusion: We’re screwed.
Exposing wrongheadedness, greed and illegality is one thing, being able to stop it is another.
But we get an A for effort. Armed with our well researched facts, a litany of experts and, frequently, the rule of law on our side, we march forward and confront those calling the shots, you know, that wealthy top 1 per cent, with all of the guns and money?
With righteous indignation we rain our fury down upon them. “This wrong doing must stop!” Hell, we may even throw in a lawsuit for good measure.
And the basic response? Brief and to the point. “You and Whose Army? Or, as Dick Cheney so eloquently put it — “So?”

Hey Christiane, I got to thinking about you needing support…though at this point money is not that fluid for me, time is somewhat at my disposal. If you would like to toss me some research ideas or just discuss same, lemme know!

Hi,
Thanks for commenting and for the offer of research help! Since stopping the show I am in transition. As you can see my web site is currently under construction. I will be working on it over the next month or so and posting a number of my past archive interviews. Once the site is up and running. I am going to look into whether I will be going back on the air with Roots Up radio or taking some time to write a book I’ve been thinking about.
So for now things are a bit on hold. But I would love some help once I get up and running.
All the best for the new year!
Christiane

I hope that, once you decide on how to best get your program broadcast that you consider streaming video of your show through a site like UStream.com like Nicole Sandler is doing. Also, do you think that someone like Thom Hartmann might be able/willing to give you some publicity?
P.S. What happened with KJFK. I’d have guessed that with the demise of Air America (which wasn’t hard to forsee) that KJFK would have had even more airtime available to you.
